THE SOCIETY AS A PUBLISHER

The staple of the Society's publishing has always been the Transactions commencing in 1874 and continuing to the present day.

The publication of occasional single-volume studies in what came to be known as the Extra Series began in 1877.

The Tract Series, for shorter monographs in paperback, followed in 1882.

In 1899 the Record Series for monastic cartularies and other extensive original records began.

From 1914 a number of Parish Registers were published and in 1979 the Research Series was established to publish archaeological reports.

Although the earlier volumes are long out of print, new titles continue to be published, and those available are listed in these pages. Details of the publications and how to order are available by downloading the order form using the link below.
